Introducing Huski, the brand new delivery and concierge service for Tignes, Val D’Isere, Sainte-Foy, La Rosiere, Les Arcs and La Plagne. Whether you’re after a no fuss meal for a family of 4, genuine restaurant dining in the comfort of your chalet, a welcome pack hamper with all the essentials for your self catering holiday, top quality beer and wine, even ski equipment rental, childcare or ski lessons, Huski can deliver all this and more straight to your door. Gain precious time on the mountain and enjoy a supermarket and stress free holiday, thanks to Huski.
The concept is simple. Huski do all the running around, all the shopping, all the meal preparation, all the organising and logistics for you. You get to sit back, relax, or ski hard all day long without having to worry about who’s going to cook tonight, or how expensive it is to eat out for every meal. “Inspired by our own struggles in the Alps with high prices, limited choice, and poor service, we set Huski up to take the schlepp out of ski trips.” Say the Huski team.
How does it work?
Well, that too is very straight forward. Go to the Huski website, create an account, and place your order. Or give them a call on +33 (0) 479041536 and have an actual conversation with one of the Huski team to discuss what you’d like. They offer same day or next day delivery (free on orders over 50€), and the service is available 7 days a week. Alternatively you can order what you’d like and pick it up en route to your ski resort from the Huski HQ in Bourg Saint Maurice.
What are my food and drink options?
Food and drink options are divided into 4 categories- Meals, Menus, Welcome Packs and Drinks. Food is sourced locally from reputable restaurant Le Monal in Sainte-Foy and Savoyarde specialist Maison Rullier in Seez. Huski can quite literally bring restaurant standard dining directly to your chalet. Other meals are produced by COOK, a UK based company with whom Huski have exclusive rights to sell their delicious ready meals in the Alps. “COOK is the perfect solution to feeding families and groups after a day’s skiing. Delicious, quick to heat up, and great value.” Huski explained. Everything on the Huski menu can be heated up and ready to eat within 30 minutes. Convenient? I think so!
Meals cater for all tastes and dietary requirements. There is a vast array of delicious curries, classics like a good ol’ shepherds pie or fish pie, traditional local savoyard fayre including fondue and tartiflette, refined cuisine such as coq au vin, boeuf bourguignon or beef cheek with polenta, and delicious sweet treats including chocolate brownies, lemon drizzle cake and sticky toffee pudding. Almost everything a heart (or a belly) could desire!
These are carefully selected “ready to go” menus designed for ultimate convenience. Opt for a simple one course with wine for only 9€ per person, or splash out on a premium 3 course menu with wine and beer for 43€ per person.
Just because you sometimes want to stay in, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t eat like you are going out.
You woke up the earliest you’ve had to in ages. You’ve traveled all day, including the gruelling 3 hour transfer on busy roads to get to the snowy paradise of your dreams. The very idea of traipsing around a supermarket is enough to make you want to cry, but there’s no milk so you can’t even make yourself that well deserved cup of tea! Enter Huski- they’ve devised a number of different welcome packs so that you have everything ready and waiting for you on your arrival.
Our team of Huskis deliver everything into your chalet before for you turn up. Is there anything better than arriving to a cold beer, a full fridge and yummy dinner that just needs you to heat it up? Not on the first night there isn’t.
The Huski drinks cabinet is vast and varied. You want beer? No problem- choose from Kronenburg, Corona, Leffe, Hoegaarden or any of the other 7 delicious and refreshing options. And all for a fraction of the price you’d pay drinking out. The wine selection is even more varied and mixed cases can be put together for you, including champagne and prosecco. And then there are the spirits- take your pick from the very best in gins, vodkas, whiskeys, cognacs, rums and of course, the mountain classic- Jaegermeister. Soft drinks are also available and are very reasonably priced.
I absolutely recommend this service to anyone wanting to save time and money, and reduce holiday hassle!
From the very beginning the process was super easy. I had a look online and chose a variety of different meals for 6 of us to enjoy that evening. I spoke to the delightful Jack over the phone and we arranged delivery to my home in Tignes for that afternoon. At 5 O’Clock on the dot the Huski van pulled up outside. With big friendly smiles on their faces, Huski Jack and Huski George handed over a big bag full of packaged meals to me, along with two bottles of wine. We turned the oven on, set the table, and within half an hour were sat together enjoying delicious food. It really was such a stress free experience, I absolutely recommend this service to anyone wanting to save time and money, and reduce holiday hassle! Everything we sampled was tasty. My personal favourite was the Lamb Dupiaza which was packed full of flavour and had a warm but gentle kick to it. Delicious! Oh, and the Lemon Drizzle Cake was to die for…
