Heli-skiing is the feeling of freedom. Whisking you away from the hustle of resort on board our helicopter, within minutes you’re in another world.
“The helicopter blades stop. Silence. Pure white peaks and untouched slopes are all around you. Anything is possible. Choose your line and own it. Just you and the mountain. This is your chance to find the sweetest descent of not just your holiday, but your life.”
Evolution 2 La Rosiere heli-ski guide Jacky Arpin.
Why limit your skiing to where the lifts end? A helicopter drop gives you endless opportunity to find the perfect snow, the best line, the longest descent.
Who is it for?
You don’t have to be a pro to have a go at heli-skiing. Because you choose your line, it can be anything from black run level to freeride. You must be fit and able to adapt to any type of snow – powder to crusty, icy to slushy. Groups of 4 max with a guide.
Where do we go?
Get kitted out at the Evolution 2 La Rosiere shop. All safety gear in included. Ski with your guide over the Col du Petite Saint Bernard into Italy (heli-skiing is not legal in France). From there you can fit one to three heli-drops into your day, from €240.
Mount Miravidi (alt: 3066 m) and Mont Ouille (alt: 3099 m). Exceptional views of Mont Blanc with several possible routes depending on snow conditions. Descend 1200 metres (1 drop) or 1900 vertical metres (2 drops).
Point of Lechaud (alt: 3128 m). An open face leads you down steep couloirs, depending on your level and the snow. 1300 vertical metres descent.
Mount Freduaz (alt: 2939 m). East of the massif and the Ruitor Glacier, between France and Italy. You have an hour and a half to admire the views of the Aosta valley as you descend 1700 metres.
Glacier Ruitor (alt: 3267 m). Virgin slopes cover 920 hectares of glacier with almost unlimited choice of runs with 2000 vertical metres of descent.
