Tignes Val d’Isere Snow Report & Weather Forecast – 20.02.16

Meteo Mike Snow Reports Tignes Val d'IsereBy Meteo Mike

Tomorrow will be like late spring – warm and sunny all day – so enjoy it! There will be more cloud about on Monday morning and it will be a couple of degrees cooler. There is a chance of a light shower in the afternoon and the winds will pick up above 2700m.

Tuesday and Wednesday are a bit difficult to call – there is a cold front lying east to west across France and it is not certain how far it (and therefore the weather) will come south. At the moment Tuesday looks OK during the times the lifts are open – mainly cloudy and significantly colder than tomorrow with a drop in temperatures and an increase in wind speed. Wednesday looks snowy down to 1600m – but this is not a certainty by a long shot!

For those flying tomorrow, the UK will be dogged by showers and blustery winds (again!), but nothing too severe. At the snowy side it should be OK, but the forecaster at Chambery is hedging his bets with a 30% chance of early fog patches. But we have been here before……..
