Tignes Val d’Isere Snow Report & Weather Forecast – 10.12.15

Meteo Mike Snow Reports Tignes Val d'IsereBy Meteo Mike

Yet another day of unbroken sunshine in the Espace Killy – just a little breeze to make it feel a little chillier. With yesterday’s few cm and a lot of new artificial snow (the cannons were running all morning in La Daille thanks to the slightly lower temperatures than recently) the pistes have had a freshen up – but overall they are a little harder than recently in the Bellvarde and Palet sectors.

As for the weather, after a few early clouds vanish, tomorrow will be another day like today. The high pressure is set to dominate for another 3 days so the weekend and Monday will be mostly sunny, with a drop in temperatures on Monday (a bit of a change from yesterday’s forecast). The unsettled weather will arrive on Tuesday, accompanied by higher winds. The current forecast shows us getting a bit of snow late on Tuesday, but confidence in the actual track of the storm is only moderate. If it moves 70 miles south there could be a lot more, likewise if it moves north we will be relying on the snow cannons.
