First Gay Wedding in Tignes

Here’s a feel-good story for the weekend. It was smiles all round as the first gay marriage to take place in Tignes happened earlier this month.

“The emotion was palpable” when Jacques and Arnaud tied the knot in front of their families and to Councillor Cecile Sala, the Mairie said.

The Mairie added on its website: “The couple from Marseille chose to formalise their union in Tignes and it is with pride and enthusiasm that the town has hosted this important time in their lives.”

We wish the couple all the best for their future and many more special times in Tignes!
