Tignes Val d’Isere Snow Report & Weather Forecast – 27.11.16

Meteo Mike Snow Reports Tignes Val d'IsereBy Meteo Mike

Another great day in Tignes and Val D’Isere. There was just a thin veil of cloud and a few contrails taking the sting out of the sun. More pistes have opened up, the whole of the Palet sector is open, as is the Grande Motte with the exception of Leisse (where I suspect they are digging out the chair). Piste conditions are fantastic! So in the words of Delia Smith “Where are you??”

The featured photo was Bellvarde in Val D’Isere at 10am this morning- Beautiful!!

So, it may be time to put the kids on E-Bay and get out here! Given the forecast and the position of the snowline in the Tarentaise I suspect prices may start to rise In Tignes and Val as people get closer to their late booking.Tomorrow there will be less cloud, it will be a degree or two cooler and there may be a bit of a breeze. Clouds may reappear on the peaks on Tuesday, but still a great day, the nights will get a bit cooler which will allow much more use of the snow cannons. Wednesday looks glorious and should be quite still, the sun will dominate on Thursday and Friday but there may be a bit more breeze and a chance of fog down the valley.
