Tignes Val d’Isere Snow Report & Weather Forecast – 18.02.16

Meteo Mike Snow Reports Tignes Val d'IsereBy Meteo Mike

The cloud will thicken overnight in Tignes – Val d’Isere, with a few flocons falling, though this should stop by breakfast time tomorrow. So it will feel a lot colder as the freezing level disappears to Lyon.

Saturday will be odd, starting chilly with sunny periods and then a rapid increase in temperature as the freezing level shoots up from 800m overnight to above the top of the Grande Motte – this will have an impact on snowpack stability off piste so beware.

Sunday will be glorious; blue skies and sunshine and again very warm for mid February – think early April.

Monday starts OK and then goes downhill, with snow showers in the afternoon, and after that it’s all a bit unpredictable!
