Tignes Val d’Isere Snow Report & Weather Forecast – 15.12.15

Meteo Mike Snow Reports Tignes Val d'IsereBy Meteo Mike

As I went skinning this morning the piste report is limited! But those which I did ski down were similar to yesterday. From the photograph taken from the Col de Palet you can see that there is decent snow cover up there and the Poma Track is prepared to await an opening date.

The cloud that has started to appear will thicken rapidly this evening and we are expecting 2-4 cms of snow above 2000m. But by breakfast time the clouds should be breaking up to leave another day of sunny spells, though it will be a degree or so cooler. The sun should return with a vengeance with the freezing level towards the top of the Grand Motte on Thursday. Friday, Saturday and Sunday also show sunny periods and warm days.

The Avalanche risk for tomorrow rises to 2 above 2500m as a result of the bit of snow tonight, as it will be breezy on high. Below this it remains 1.
