He’s the most innovative freeskier on the planet and Candide Thorvex has once again pulled what must be a first out of the bag – a ski film with no snow.
Apparently unable to wait any longer for winter, the French Faction athlete, famous for his resort romp ski films like One Of Those Days, dons his planks for an autumnal adventure. He skis through a herd of cows, a field of corn, an autumnal forest and leaps over a farmer’s tractor. But nowhere is a snowflake in sight. It would be interesting to see the condition of his skis after shot down a tarmac road throwing sparks out at all angles.
The film has been made for the new Audi Quattro ad campaign, and it also shows off his new range of Faction skis. A Faction spokesman said: “There is no terrain or environment where Candide isn’t completely at ease on skis. Continuing to push the limits of materials and design, Candide’s multi-award winning signature collection contains some of the most durable park and all-mountain skis around, together with the lightest high-performance freeride and backcountry skis possible.”
