Hiker Missing Near Val d’Isere

A hiker has been missing for 11 days after arriving in Val d’Isere. The 52-year-old French man was last seen at Val d’Isere bus station on 24th August. He was thought to be going hiking but his intended route isn’t known. Anyone out hiking in the area is being asked to keep their eyes open.

It’s been reported that the alarm was raised by his father when he didn’t turn up for work last week, and that he could have been taking a high mountain route between France & Italy.

The man was last seen wearing dark jeans and a black jacket. He’s 5ft 11ins tall with shaved hair. If anyone has seen him, or any signs, please contact the police on 04 79 06 32 41.
